Rarely would you picture a pool house featuring life-sized mosaics, custom stained glass, and Lithuanian folk tales; yet, the Fir Creek Pavilion brings them all together beautifully alongside stunning views of the Tetons in the distance.

The intimate space, built to house a heated lap pool and spa, showcases two striking glass mosaic pieces from the owner’s family collection. The fable-based mosaics anchor the north and south walls and are framed by local quartzite. They catch the light as it streams in from the overhead skylight, which runs the length of the structure, and from the wall of floor-to-ceiling, mountain-framing windows.

The outside belies the jewel box inside. Clad in reclaimed wood, it complements the connecting cabin and makes for a jaw-dropping moment upon entry, where every element combines to create an otherworldly experience for the visitor.

"This pool house is also a piece of art."

Matt Thackray, Architect
